History: Little is known about Cardinal Rules during the first few years of his life. He's relatively docile, and at the barn before HCS he was normally used as a lesson horse. He lacked official training, and was ideal for intermediate riders learning to jump higher. Card's previous owners never gave much thought to using him for shows of any sort, whether beginner classes in show jumping or equitation, because of his odd conformation. As a Thoroughbred and Irish Draught cross back two generations, he had the Thoroughbred legs and muzzle while also obtaining the Irish Draught neck and shoulders. 

Despite this, Card is patient and a very hard worker, and while he isn't opposed to people and being ridden for long lengths of time, he also greatly enjoys time to himself, both in the pasture and in his stall.
